Palin Weighs in on PA’s 3rd
Tom Borthwick | July 15, 2010 | 1:40 pm

Sarah Palin, invariably convinced by the sycophantic Tea Party that she is somehow relevant and important, has decided to contribute $3,500 to Republican Mike Kelly, who is running against Kathy Dahlkemper in the 3rd district out in Western PA.

To quote Stephen Albert at NCFE: “Let me be blunt: Sarah Palin is a cry-baby, quitter, dim bulb, political opportunist who is milking her 15 minutes of fame to such an extent that she is nearly redefining the concept of time dilation.”

Sadly, that’ll play with some people out there, but just as Palin fires up Teabaggers, she fires up Democrats who can’t stand her absurd status and behavior.

Palin to Get Reality Show
Tom Borthwick | March 26, 2010 | 12:05 pm

I honestly thought this was a joke, and part of me thinks it is, but that’s the denial talking: Sarah Palin and family are getting a reality TV show.
Hey, at least she’s a consistent money and media whore (not the walker of the night definition, look it up).

Didn’t she regularly complain about the media unfairly putting the spotlight on her kids? Soulless sellout hypoctrie chillbilly. At least she keeps irony alive.

This will do one important thing for America: much like Jersey Shore, where a bunch of near subhuman idiots with a very screwed up since of priorities vie for attention, people will watch this train wreck and see how dysfunctional and mindless Sarah Palin really is. Either that, or it’ll merely reinforce the beliefs of cult that worships her: that IQs under 80 paired with a folksy absolutist attitude are what we want! USA! USA!

Teabagger Outrage Continues, Palin on Board
Tom Borthwick | March 25, 2010 | 11:50 am

Teabagger violence related to the passage of health care continues unabated.

Law enforcement officials have been meeting with Democratic lawmakers to brief them on how to handle security issues. More than ten Democratic lawmakers have received death threats. One teabagger threatened to assassinate a Representative’s children. The brother of another Representative had his home vandalized after his address and identity was posted on a right-wing website as a potential target.

Just north of us, in Monroe County New York, the local Democratic Headquarters had a brick thrown at their window with a note attached that read, “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice.” That about sums up the ticking time-bomb of the Tea Party movement.

Sarah Palin even put gun-sights on the districts of Representatives who she wants to go after. Gun sights? Are you nuts? Okay, we know the answer is yes, but let’s think this through. What are gun sights for? To help you aim better when you shoot. They suggest violence and death. With teabaggers carrying signs around Washington saying that if Republicans don’t stop health care, guns can, Sarah Palin is grossly irresponsible and is blatantly encouraging violence and murder.

Think I’m exaggerating? Palin is a part of the Teabagger movement, even addressing their for-profit convention a few weeks back. Teabaggers look to her as a sort of leader and inspiration. There are teabaggers out there outwardly advocating violence and engaging in despicable acts, like hurling racial slurs at elected Representatives and spitting on them. Now we see death threats and vandalism.

And where is Sarah Palin on this? She’s part of the movement. Where are GOP Representatives on this? They are part of the movement – hey, Boehner and Bachmann have addressed these people before, attended their rallies, and cheered them on. Boehner even said an Ohio Democrat “may be a dead man” if he votes for health care. His pathetic response to criticism of this remark was to say that he doesn’t condone violence and didn’t mean it to be taken literally. And yet, we have death threats all over the place. So where is the Republican Party on this? They encourage the movement by showing up. They refuse to disavow the movement. Sure, they disavow the violence, but not the movement that foments it. Hey, violent morons have the right to vote, too!

Hopefully Americans can see the Republican Party for what it is: an obstructionist, opportunistic amalgam of corporate and religious interests bent on controlling the ignorant to enact their anti-poor, anti-middle class agenda. They did nothing but obstruct progress and legislation. Now, they stand idly by while the people they’ve been hurling vitriol at are threatened with violence and death. Be proud, GOP.

PA-10: Palin to Criticize Carney
Tom Borthwick | March 24, 2010 | 11:47 am

Well, the Teabagger Queen has emerged from her lair, you know, the one in Canada where she sneaks free health care before she criticizes Obama for socialism.

That’s right, Sarah Palin is upset with Chris Carney and is going to Teabag him in the General Election. He should take it as a compliment.

On her Facebook, Palin wrote: “We’re going to reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people. We’re going to fire them and send them back to the private sector, which has been shrinking thanks to their destructive government-growing policies.”

Clever. Except that, when polled individually, people love almost every aspect of the new health care bill. Except rich people, who get taxed more. That means she’ll pay more taxes, since she’s been whoring (look up the definition, I’m not calling her a walker of the night) her image to make millions.

I think Alan Grayson, a Democratic Representative from Florida, said it best (courtesy of AmeriBlog):

In response to Palin’s attack on Rep Grayson, Grayson actually complimented Palin. Grayson praised Palin for having a hand large enough to fit Grayson’s entire name on it. He thanked Palin for alleviating the growing shortage of platitudes in Central Florida. Grayson added that Palin deserved credit for getting through the entire hour-long program without quitting. Grayson also said that Palin really had mastered Palin’s imitation of Tina Fey imitating Palin. Grayson observed that Palin is the most-intelligent leader that the Republican Party has produced since George W. Bush.

When asked to comment about what effect Palin’s criticism might have, Grayson pointed out, “As the Knave’s horse says in Alice in Wonderland, ‘dogs will believe anything.’” Earlier, as the Orlando Sentinel reported, Grayson said, “I’m sure Palin knows all about politics in Central Florida, since from her porch she can see Winter Park,” which is part of Grayson’s district.

Grayson said that the Alaskan chillbilly was welcome to return to Central Florida anytime, as long as she brings lots of money with her, and spends it. “I look forward to an honest debate with Governor Palin on the issues, in the unlikely event that she ever learns anything about them,” Grayson added.

Not-So-Breaking: Palin is a Hypocrite
Tom Borthwick | February 8, 2010 | 12:30 pm

I’m going to deviate from local coverage for a moment to vent about a national figure.

Sarah Palin embodies everything that’s wrong with American politics. She plays well to populist people who are dissatisfied with pretty much everything. Good for her, but she’s barely qualified to breathe, let alone be a viable politician. She quit being Governor to go on a book tour, for God’s sake! Selfish, money-hungry, egoist. Palin.

Anyway, when it came out that Rahm Emmanuel said the word “retard” in a meeting, Palin, who has an infant with disabilities (that she regularly leaves to speak at Tea Party Conventions for $100,000 grand or to sell books), called for his resignation.

Then, Rush Limbaugh went on his radio-show and, pompous ass that he is, went on and on about “retards” for whatever reason.

Palin, who if she were consistent and honorable and not an opportunistic political Hack should’ve called for him to lose his show, instead came out and said it’s okay when Rush Limbaugh does it, because it’s satire.

Hypocrite.

Rush Limbaugh may be an idiot, but he can say what he wants. Rahm Emmanuel may not have tact, but he can also say what he wants. They deserve equal treatment. But Palin has one set of morals for Democrats and one set of morals for Republicans and she doesn’t have the decency to admit that it’s all political. It’s one thing to disagree on matters of policy, but this is a matter of language and what I guess she would call vulgarity.
Well, it’s time for me to write some satire about how Palin is retarded. That’s okay with her, right? I won’t have to resign my position as owner/administrator of NEPArtisan, right?
