Anti-abortion activists will stoop to any level to push their religious, anti-choice mentality on any who disagree with them. Then after stooping to that low, they will get out the shovel and dig until they find a new low.
That most recent low is protesting outside Senator Casey’s house. Protest outside his office, but let his wife and kids and private property alone, please.
When I worked on the Kerry campaign, the anti-choice Bushies parked a big rig outside our office painted with pictures of aborted fetuses on the side. Way to make an endearing point, visceral morons. I’m sure standing outside Senator Casey’s home heckling his family will only get you what you want.
The funny thing is, Casey is a Pro-Lifer (I’d argue everybody is pro-life, as in, I am pro-life, but also pro-choice), but he’s not pro-life ENOUGH.
Senator Casey deserves the utmost respect for being both pro-life and realizing that if he doesn’t get everything he wants in the health care bill, it’s still worth voting for. Single-issue anti-abortionists, of course, find that to be anathema. Forty-four thousand people die per year due to lack of health care. But that’s no biggy to them. To hell people who are born and officially alive, right? Pff.

They’re missing the bigger picture here that the surveys women take when go through with an abortion indicate that the biggest reason is that they cannot afford a quality life for the child or they specifically site the cost of healthcare.
The biggest cost associated with bringing a child into the world is the cost of healthcare. If we could our ridiculous riches to care for babies instead of corporate handouts that are thinly veiled as wars there would be about 90% fewer abortions.
Almost all pro life voters support politicians who insure there will always be a demand for abortions.
I agree completely, and it’s one of the reasons I support Casey, despite disagreeing with him. Unlike Republicans, he believes, like his father, that babies shouldn’t be dropped at birth.
Expectant mothers need social support, options, and care. That would reduce abortions and get to the root cause.
